Bain and OpenAI have run a joint services alliance since 2022, and Bain became an OpenAI Elite Partner in July 2026, the highest tier in OpenAI's Partner Network, following a dedicated OpenAI Center of Excellence it established in 2023. Bain also took a stake in the OpenAI Deployment Company in May 2026, a venture backed by 19 global partners including McKinsey and Capgemini, with Bain's contribution focused on deploying generative AI inside private equity portfolio companies, a sector where the firm holds a leading consulting position. Bain separately expanded its AI collaboration with Palantir.
